by shop owners for shop owners.

Privacy policy of PARC Network GmbH & Co. KG under the GDPR — information on server logs, anonymized web analytics and data subject rights.

As the data controller under the GDPR, we inform you below about the processing of personal data when visiting this website.

1. Data Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data is PARC Network GmbH & Co. KG. You can find the name and contact details of the controller in our Legal Notice.

No data protection officer has been appointed; there is no statutory obligation to appoint one under Art. 37 GDPR or § 38 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act).

2. Purposes of Processing and Legal Bases

We process your personal data for the following purposes on the legal bases indicated:

  • Operation of the website, security and technical functionality — Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest)
  • Responding to your inquiries via email or telephone — Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or (f) GDPR
  • Performance of contracts with you — Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR
  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g. commercial and tax law) — Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR
  • Asserting our rights and defending claims against us — Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR

3. Processing in Detail

3.1 Accessing our website (server log files)

When you visit our website, our web server processes the usual technical request data (IP address, timestamp, URL, browser information).

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the proper and secure operation of the website.

Logs are rotated and automatically deleted unless they are required in individual cases to investigate a specific security incident or to assert legal rights.

3.2 Web Analytics

For statistical analysis of website usage we use a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics tool. The data does not leave our infrastructure and is not shared with third parties.

No cookies are set in your browser. IP addresses are anonymized before any analysis, so that no unique identification of your person is possible.

Processed data (in anonymized form): page views, time spent on page, browser and operating system type, anonymized referrer, truncated IP.

The tool is configured in a privacy-friendly way: no person profiles are created and no cross-site tracking is performed.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the needs-based design and improvement of our website; the IP anonymization ensures that no personal profiles are created. Since we do not store or read any information on your end device (in particular no cookies), our processing does not fall under § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).

The anonymized analytics data are stored only as long as required for the statistical analysis. You may object to the processing at any time under Art. 21 GDPR (see section 7).

3.3 Contact via email or telephone

When you contact us with an inquiry, we process the data you submit for the purpose of handling your inquiry. These may include:

  • Name and company name
  • Email address, telephone number
  • Content of the message
  • Date and time of the contact

Depending on the content of your inquiry, the legal basis is either Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or contract performance) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding).

The data will be deleted once your inquiry has been fully resolved and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Providing this data is voluntary; however, we cannot respond to your inquiry without your contact details.

3.4 Performance of Contracts

If you enter into a contract with us, we process the data necessary for contract handling (in particular company name, contact person, address, contact details, billing and service data).

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The data will be deleted after the statutory retention periods have expired.

3.5 Hosting

Hosting is provided by a processor on servers within the EU, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Recipients and Third-Country Transfer

In principle, no data is transferred to third parties; the only exception is the hosting processor named in section 3.5 as well as statutory disclosure obligations. No transfer to third countries outside the EU/EEA takes place.

5. Storage Period

We store personal data only as long as required for the respective processing purpose or as we are legally obliged to do so.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • Access to the data we process (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

For data protection inquiries, please use the contact details provided in our Legal Notice.

7. Right to Object (Art. 21 GDPR)

To the extent that we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to such processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

8. Data Security

We apply state-of-the-art technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure.
